But really, it comes down to the fact that he just likes solving problems: from the small to the very, very big. Out of grad school, he started his own IT consultancy, and soon developed a niche handling small business and consumer-level IT challenges. He brings a unique perspective when taking on IT issues that stems from the extensive training he’s received. Though honestly, helping people with their technical issues just brings him a great deal of joy, and that’s exactly what he does here at BCS Engineering!
Kellen Murphy has a B.S. degree in physics from Otterbein College and an M.S. and a Ph.D. in physics from Ohio University. During his academic career, he tackled some of the most fundamental and difficult questions of our universe, such as the nature of dark matter and dark energy. During the course of his work as a computational astrophysicist, he had the luxury of working with some of the most sophisticated computational tools and methodologies that humankind has ever developed, and had the pleasure of developing a major data analysis pipeline for analyzing large volumes of Hubble Space Telescope(HST) data.
