Joel Schopis
Joel joined BCS Engineering in 2007 as a Software Engineer primarily focusing on X-Cart customization and mod design. His projects have been quite diverse, ranging from creating automated systems that connect multiple web services to creating hierarchy upsell systems. Joel’s desire to continually learn new technologies was a perfect fit as BCSE decided to begin using Expression Engine for website design and layout. His expertise was vital to the successful launch of this new business venture.
Joel’s IT career began at the Ohio Super Computer center, his projects there involved measuring metrics and storing them using RRDTool. He continues to expand his horizons by continuing his pattern in technological diversity.
Joel earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio University and is pursuing his Master degree in electrical engineering. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the guitar and brewing beer.
